About Semuc Champey

Semuc Champey, meaning "where the river hides under the stones" in Q'eqchi' Maya, is one of Guatemala's most spectacular natural wonders. This 300-meter limestone bridge spans the Cahabón River, creating a series of stepped, turquoise pools that are perfect for swimming and relaxation.

Located in the heart of the Guatemalan jungle near Lanquín, Semuc Champey is surrounded by lush tropical rainforest and offers visitors a chance to experience pristine nature at its finest. The area is also famous for its extensive cave systems, including the nearby Lanquín Caves.
